35mm & 16mm Rushes Service

Soho Film Lab provides a multi-format rushes service, processing both standard & super 35mm (2perf, 3perf & 4perf) plus standard & super 16mm, in colour and B&W.

We operate six nights a week (Sunday to Friday) and transfer to a variety of standard and high definition formats, using URSA Diamond (SD, Pogle & PiXi) & Spirit (SD/HD, da Vinci) telecine machines.

Sound synching (InDaw), from DAT or a variety of disk based location recorders is fully digital & can produce a variety of data delivery formats and viewing copies.

In addition to video and DVD formats we also offer delivery of rushes in a wide range of digital media formats ready for offline and online editing in both Avid or Final Cut systems.

16mm Film Stock & Processing Packages

Soho Film Lab also has some great 16mm rushes packages that include film stock. These packages combine a variety of different film stock options from both Kodak and Fuji, lab processing services and full grading at Rushes and have been designed to ensure shooting on film remains an affordable reality.

35mm & 16mm Film Deliverables

We offer a full film post production service, including grading and printing of answer prints and show prints, internegatives, interpositives, duplicate negatives and release printing (in both colour and B&W), using wet gate and high speed dry gate printing technologies.

We supply fully calibrated prints from digital negatives to all Soho based DI houses & can arrange for multi-copy release print distribution (domestic and international) for a multitude of feature, commercial and art project clients.

8mm Services

We usually process super 8mm Colour Negative stocks in-house every Tuesday (material to arrive with us before 9AM that day).

Broadcast quality telecine transfers of all standard & super 8mm stocks (colour, B&W, reversal) to a variety of SD tape formats are made on URSA Diamond machines and should be ready within 48 hrs of receipt of material. Transfer to a variety of SD digital file formats is also available.

We also hold & supply Kodak Vision2 200T (7217) and Kodak Vision3 500T (7219) colour negative stocks and discounts are offered on packages of 10 rolls or over.

Ultrasonic Cleaning

We offer a s8mm, 16mm and 35mm ultrasonic film cleaning service which produces surgically clean negatives - essential preparation for telecine transfers, scanning for DI, duplication, printing or after handling archive material.

This non-contact cleaning method incorporates the use of ultrasonic sound waves to shake loose dirt from the film surface, and perchloroethylene, a spirit-based chemical for the removal of grease and general handling marks.
